After School Program

One of the main aspects of Seneca Street CDC is the After School Program. We are proud to provide students K-12 in the Seneca Babcock neighborhood with a safe place to spend the afternoon hours. Students enjoy a healthy snack when they arrive off the bus before completing their homework with help from adult mentors and college volunteers. After homework time, students engage in enrichment activities designed to teach a skill or encourage physical activity. A complete list of enrichment activities offered can be found here. Before being picked up at the end of the day, students are served a hot meal prepared by volunteers.

Summer @ Seneca Street is an expansion of our After School Program that features themed weeks and field trips designed to keep skills sharp during the long break between school sessions. Students are served breakfast and lunch at the church and many move on to the Seneca Babcock Community Center for programming in the afternoon. More information on our summer program can be found here.

We believe that this program supports our mission to improve and restore the economic, educational and social environment in the Seneca Babcock neighborhood by giving more children and youth the tools they need to succeed in school and life.
